Whether you’re a kitchen connoisseur or a culinary cauchemar, you’ll know that things can get pretty heated in the kitchen. And whilst we make sure that our worktops and cabinets are prepared for the inevitable splashes of water and slamming of pots they will be subjected to, our kitchen flooring is often an afterthought.

At Allfloors Glasgow, we understand that deciding which flooring to use for your kitchen can be slightly confusing, especially with so many types of flooring to choose from. Which is exactly why we’ve decided to create this handy guide, to help you decide which flooring will suit your kitchen best:

Laminate flooring

Laminate flooring can stand up well to scratches and is even fairly moisture resistant, provided that the water isn’t left sitting on the surface for too long. This, plus the fact that it’s fairly low maintenance, makes it a great choice for kitchens that tend to get pretty hectic.

Luxury Vinyl Tiles

LVT are waterproof, and tough as nails. Mimicking natural products such as wood and ceramic tiles it is also extremely attractive for Kitchens that may lead to other areas in the home. So if you’re the kind of chef who likes to be in control on the kitchen floor, LVT is the choice for you.

Wooden Flooring

Although not as durable as the flooring listed above, real wooden flooring can give a stylish look that is hard to replicate with other materials. Wooden floors are especially useful if you have a kitchen that leads into your dining room, as it looks great and can compliment the feel of the rest of your home.

As you can see, there are plenty of factors to consider before choosing flooring for your kitchen. At Allfloors Glasgow, we work closely with our customers to help them determine the right flooring for their needs.
